The Company

Our Client is headquartered in Singapore and provides independent financial advice to HNW Clients across Asia. Their dedicated, high quality wealth management service provides Clients with comprehensive advice on investments, insurance and tax planning. Our Client is authorised and regulated by MAS. It has licenses and product provider agreements in place to offer qualified and transparent advice to their Clients. 

As part of their expansion plans, they now have a vacancy for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team in Singapore. Applicants will need to be based in Singapore already or prepared to relocate as this is an office-based position. 

Role summary: 

The COO is a key member of the executive team responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company. The COO will ensure that the company's operational processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. This role requires strategic leadership to drive growth, manage cross-functional teams, and optimize processes that support the company's financial goals and customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will need to take MAS exams in Singapore if not already in place.

Qualifications and requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior operations management role, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance in financial services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyse operational performance metrics.
  • Proven track record in building and implementing processes and SOP's.
